Peter Cook and Dudley Moore in a very funny interview with Michael Parkinson.
😂🤣😅 THE VERY BEST ‼️
"Ate you just pleased to see me"? was originlly Mae West line.
i thought the best bits was the words they said!😮
On a serious Cook Moore kick...its real bad😂
cudduth shouldth wouldth
How did he die ?
Notwithstanding the sheer brilliance of the lines, the thing that makes me laugh the most is when Dudley right on the edge of losing it completely.
Make a proper movie about em especially these years
Peter Cook.....so effortlessly witty..... always brings a great punchline.
Parky making fun of spurs That’s a load of Tottenham that is. That’s a steaming pile of Hotspur
Brilliant 🧠
Hollywood missed the talent of Peter Cook ,he was the Benedict Cumberbatch of his time ,an ability to adapt to any character and voice , where as they chose Dudley ,some movies were great then not so ! Never mind ! Peter Cook as Sherlock Holmes or in an Agatha Christie movie for sure !

Dudley Moore genius arthur
Fascinating. My brother took me to see this in the theatre one afternoon in about 1974.
Peter Cook was 'frightened' as he died due to his Liver breaking down, "bleeding from every orifice." Poor man.
R.I.P Parky thank you for putting my hometown on the map (and Cudworth/Cudeth) love this interview, two people who are totally at ease with each other and their professions.
RIP Parky.
The two greatest comedians ever
So shocking to hear everyone laugh at something so horrendous. Wouldn't surprise me at all of his alcoholism was in part due to these experiences.
@@annieg1812 the sexual abuse.
His American accent is a hoot.
Oh my God what legends they were. RIP. Miss you guys and your humour 🌈💝🌹
01:32. Dudley's interjection
You were definitely 1 of the Great Ones......passed at only 57, so very very young.
"What do you remeber from school?" "Trying to avoid buggery"
Can you imagine Peter and John Cleese doing the "argument sketch"?
Yes.
Funny thing John never said a word in this clip as if Peter is his lawyer.
At their prime. And I love looking at Peter in his prime.
Brilliant.👏👏👏👏👏
That profile! I’d love to know the specifics behind Alan Bennett’s comment.
He sounds like Jeremy Irons in this interview.
It's easy for those who only know Peter through "Derek and Clive" to completely under-estimate the wit and thoughtfulness of the man. Peter Cooke is not Clive. Clive is not Peter Cooke.
RIP Sir Michael Parkinson (March 28, 1935 - August 16, 2023), aged 88 RIP Dudley Moore (April 19, 1935 - March 27, 2002), aged 66 RIP Peter Cook (November 17, 1937 - January 9, 1995), aged 57 You will be remembered as legends.

Nope.
I am bedazzled by this man.
I live this. What a laugh!!!
Classic!!!
I happen to be guilty of loving Peter Cook. Who else would turn around the question (it did take him a while; I fault Dud, his ad libbing into a nonexistent glass stole some of Peter's genius from him but it was still at the least funny) of "Do you have sex before . . ?" A truly idiotic question, but one you can't get on TV without asking a guest, I guess, or why else am I on TV?
I so loved Beyond the Fringe and on the first day I finally managed to get to London, I went out to explore and miraculously came across two life-sized, mounted photographs of Pete and Dud outside of where they were appearing in "Behind the Fridge". I bought a ticket immediately, of course. I later saw the show again in the US where it was called "Good Evening" and they had added the wonderful, incredible, amazing Tarzan audition sketch. The last time I saw one in person was the sad occasion of the wake for Peter at the Director's Guild in L.A. We were told that Dudley would be there but he was very late and not in good condition. We assumed he was drunk which was totally understandable since he had lost his partner but it became obvious that something else was going on when he could not recollect any story about Peter. In retrospect, it was a symptom of the brain disease that killed him. I am so glad that I got to see them even though the last experience was so sad.
This is the one where Parkinson says, “ And now, if you ‘d care to show me your greatest triumph ? “ I.e Goodbyee, and Dudley Moore gets up and starts to take down his trousers. I might have that wrong, but it’s all a long time ago
"Eroneous zones"....perfect!
Dud was right up with Pete in this sketch. Possibly even a little ahead?
Avoiding buggery! BBC CEO's would have a woke embolism in today's BS world!
😉 most actors today would find this script extremely long but these 2 make it look effortless which shows u just how brilliant they were. 😍❤️😍❤️😎
When they asked Peter the one thing he regretted he replied saving David Forost from drowning.
Good acting. Pete & Dud couldn't stand the sight of each other. Joan Rivers invited them to dinner. She said it was the worst dinner of her life!
At least they managed to reconcile their differences with one another in the end. Although the partnership was over they did eventually become the best of friends once more. Lin confirmed as much. Peter's two closest friends at the time of his death were John Cleese and Dudley.
God, how does one create such attractiveness? Everything in life is wrong, the school of life I've been educated at is a stupid Gospel. I only want that thing! That thing, that thing! I only want to create it.
Trying to avoid buggery 😂😂 No one expected that
Couple of ladies gossiping.
